Work on the Road, Go to the Sea
Mr. Tanawat Juntasug, or "Jib" a driver at Pattana Thai Borikan Co., Ltd., has 14 years of work experience. He is currently a permanent employee in the IEMT unit, serving as a dedicated driver for a Japanese executive.
For me, attentiveness, having a service mindset, being responsible for duties, and punctuality are all the most important things in service work. And importantly, you must also have Work-Life Balance.
My favorite hobby is camping, and what I love most is diving. I've had a side job as a diving instructor for 9 years now. Currently, I teach in the sea area around Samae San, Chonburi province. It started from my first trip where I went traveling and diving. I bought a trip and equipment from a dive shop and became close with the owner. After that, the dive shop owner often invited me on trips together, until he invited me to become an instructor and to study more diving, increasing my skills. I have been promoted to a diving instructor until now. I enjoy diving because it is considered relaxation and travel at the same time. When you are underwater, you can only hear your own voice, so you get to spend time with yourself, it is considered a good meditation practice. In addition, diving allows us to see marine life under the sea that most people may not easily encounter, such as whale sharks, manta rays, and nudibranchs, etc. If I have a day off, I will find time to do what I love. If there is an interesting diving program, I will find a suitable time and not let it affect my work. I believe that not doing what you enjoy would lead to unhappiness in work. I find that doing both concurrently doesn't tire me out at all.
I see driving as my work on the road, behind the steering wheel, while diving is about being underwater. Despite these differences, the common thread is customer care. In driving, I look after passengers and the executive; in diving, I care for my clients. Both roles involve constant vigilance, as unexpected dangers can arise at any moment.
